YOu had surgery for a ruptured achilles tendon and you are experiencing swelling in the surgical area. A small amount of swelling is normal. I would be more concerned if you had swelling with increased pain, redness and purulent drainage from the surgical site. If you are then you should contact your surgeon and inform him about the change. He may need to see you to evaluate the swelling.
