Brief Answer:
kindly upload CT scan report to help you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi ,
Thanks for query.

I have read your query , seen your picture & understand your concern.

To help you in better way , kindly upload CT scan report here.

After reading your CT scan , it appears that your are most probably having sphenoid sinus mucosal thickening with turbinate hypertrophy .

Endoscopic sinus surgery will give you relief after surgery and prevent any future complication.

I would advice ,
Use regular saline nasal wash twice daily &
Antihistamine tablet at night to prevent disease progression .

Surgery is not only option but it will give relief & prevent any future complication.

Hope this information helpful to you .

Regards.

Thank you for your quick reply. The ENT suggested the mass could be a cyst or polyp and stated it is the size of a gumball (I was of the impression he was implying that it is fairly large and needed to come out to be biopsied). Are you in agreement with this? In the corners of the CT scan I see "ST: 0.4 mm" which doesn't seem big enough to be causing major issues. I am experiencing headaches at the top and back of head along with intermittent blurred/double vision.

Brief Answer:
Sphenoid mass is because of polypoidal mucosa

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for follow up query.

In my opinion , sphenoid mass is because of polypoidal mucosal thickening of size around 0.5 x 0.5 cm .

0.4 mm is a thickness at which CT scan slice taken.

It can cause headaches & vision problems because of surrounding inflammation .

I would advice , use regular saline nasal spray or rinse , antihistamine & steroid nasal spray to get relief from symptoms .

To help you in better way , kindly upload CT scan report .

Regards .
