Is Soreness In Body A Symptom Of MRSA?
Question: I have a sore id like to show you a picture of. Ive been on goigle and it really scared me. Im worried its mrsa. What do you think?

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
i have seen the picture closely it is indeed an infected sore and there is inflammation at the area too.
By seeing a sore it can not be surely said if it is MRSA or not but ysually MRSA i caught in hospitals, it doesn't usually infect one out of hospital. Secondly MRSA is usually a systemic infection not a primary infection if skin.
It usually infects primary wounds in a hospital as a super added infection.
MRSA can only be confirmed with culture of pus and blood ,it is not possible to tell if it's and MRSA or not just by symptoms and seeing the infected area .
Here I would suggest you not to panic and this ulcer i would have treated simply as a simple infection of skin.
1) You can get OTC band aid and place it over ulcer.
2)Ibuprofen can be used for pain.
3) Keep a good hygiene of area.
4) Don't scratch.
5) If there is continuous discharge or increase in swelling, Contact your doctor immediately. As in this case you may need antibiotics.
Do not panic it does not seem to be MRSA , if you need confirmation , visit your doctor and ask for confirmatory teasts to rule out MRSA.
