Is Sleeplessness A Symptom Of Dementia?

Posted on Thu, 30 Jun 2016
Question: Hi there!
I am seeking some advice to give my brother in law. He had told me that he did not sleep well the previous night (Monday night) then I saw him today and he said he woke up at around 3AM in total confusion. He thought he was with us at our lake house and he was yelling for us. He also mentioned that when this confusion occurs that his right hand begins to tremble like a tremor. I asked him how he felt after he realized that he was home and no one else was home. He said he felt the complete opposite of anxiety???? I guess severe depression? They have ran MRI's and blood test he said that they are treating him for dementia. Are those symptoms that of early dementia?
