Brief Answer:
Less painful,success rate is high.

Detailed Answer:
Intervention radiology is minimally-invasive procedures, uses to open blockages in `proximal part` of tubes.

These blockages can be due to debris or mucus or infection or tubal spasm.

The procedure is performed at the hospital using local and IV sedation. so it is not as painful as HSG procedure. This procedure takes less than one hour, and most patients go home after being observed for one hour after the procedure.

The success rate for the procedure is high, 90%. The average pregnancy rate after recanalization, without other forms of fertility assistance, is 30%.

I advise that your wife should go for it before trying for other options like surgery or IVF.

Hope my answer helps you.

Feel free to ask any query.

Thanks.

Hello Doctor,

HSG Lab Reports are attached.

Could you please check those?

As per the Lab Report, everything is normal.

But, Doctor looked at the x ray report, said, tubes are blocked.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
report appears to be normal, second opinion from a radiologist advised.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Even according to me, Her HSG report is normal.I do not know why your doctor is saying that there is obstruction on both sides.

I advise you to take second opinion from your radiologist.

Hope you have gone for USG pelvis to rule out PCOS, thyroid profile, serum prolactin level, mantoux test.

Assuming these tests to be normal (as you have not uploaded these reports) and tubes to be normal (provided a second opinion from radiologist is similar), drugs like clomiphene should be used to induce ovulation. (My opinion).

If the tubes are confirmed to be blocked, then tubal recanalization would be the next step of treament.

Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.

Thanks.
