Brief Answer:
Both help in egg formation. follicle study, timed sex act will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar here. I welcome you to HCM VIRTUAL CLINIC. I have gone through your question, and I think I have understood your concern. I will suggest you you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) Your doctor has rightly advised you about the treatment.

2 ) both the medicines are helping to grow follicle and egg formation.

3 ) I usually suggest to get follicle study from day ten of the cycle. This helps to know the day of ovulation. You can plan sexual activity on or around this day. This will help you to get pregnant.

4 ) I usually suggest to indulge in a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. Include more portions of fruits, salads and vegetables in daily diet. Drink plenty of of water in the day. Avoid deep fried foods, bakery products and refined sugars. Avoid substance abuse if any. Start with Folic acid, B 12 and Omega 3 supplements at least 3 months before you plan to get pregnant. This helps to protect you pregnancy.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Sperms motility is fine. Do Kegel's exercise.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

Dear XXXXXXX
Percentage of motility is fine but I would like to know the sperms count per ml of semen. That also is an important factor.

Secondly, if you are able to perform penetrative sex, and ejaculation is taking place inside the vagina then you need not worry at all.

Problem of relatively early ejaculation and inadequate erection needs proper sex counselling. Till then I will suggest you to practice Kegel's exercise at least 3 times a day for next couple of weeks. Also, indulge in a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. Get your blood sugar levels checked. Try to be relaxed and happy at the time of sexual activity.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
PCOS work up needed. Lab tests and USG.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Now as per your history if she has irregular cycles, then she needs to assess her ovaries, USG will be helpful to know ovarian volume. Blood tests on day 2 of the coming cycle mainly FSH, LH . PROLACTIN, AMH, TFT will be needed before starting the treatment.

As such, in a woman with regular cycles, ovulation occurs 14 days prior to the first day of the periods. But this can not be true in case of irregular cycles.

Follicle study on USG will be helpful to know about the day of ovulation. So it will be helpful to have exact days of sexual activity to achieve the pregnancy.

If USG and hormonal study point towards PCOS, she needs meticulous life style changes as discussed earlier. PCOS is totally controllable and can give good pregnancy outcomes if she rigorously follows diet and exercise regimen along with medical advice.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
