Question: Hello Doctor,

My wife's last periods was on Oct 5th, we had unprotected sex on Oct 24th night, she took ipill next day 6pm in the evening (within 24 hours). It's more than a week now she hasn't got withdrawal bleeding. As per the regular cycle her next period is Nov 5th. Please let me know her chances of pregnancy. .

Brief Answer:
The chances of pregnancy are quite low.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
As you had i-pill on time, the chances of pregnancy are very low in your case.
Withdrawal bleeding is a side effect of an i-pill and only occur due to hormonal imbalance and it is not occur in every female.
So wait and watch for your menses.
Hope found useful, feel free to discuss more information.

Thanks for your quick reply. Will wait for menses. Are there any chance of delayed menses this time due to ipill in take. If yes , how long we can wait before doing pregnancy test..
