Question: Hi
I had unprotected sex 5 days before I had my copper iud removed. On the same day I had my iud removed I also had an annual and papsmear. is it possible that I can be pregnant from the sex 5 days prior to the removal?

As long as you have copper T inside the uterine cavity, conception is not possible. Since you got your IUD removed 5 days after the unprotected sex, there is no need to worry. You are not pregnant. Just wait for your normal periods to begin to be doubly sure. The periods may be delayed by a few days due to stress, anxiety or removal of copper T. In case the delay is more than a week then you can get your urine tested for pregnancy.

ok. After the iud removal I was scheduled to ovulate 3 days later. I have always been perfectly timed with my period. My husband and I tried 2 days after removal for the next 5 or so days to get pregnant While I was scheduled to be ovulating. I am now 10 days late with a positive urine test. But I need to be COMPLETELY SURE that the sex I had 5 days prior to the iud removal would not have got me pregnant.but the sex after the removal while ovulating is how I got pregnant. Please. I'm sorry. I'm not a bad person. I just made a huge life altering mistake prior to the iud removal. My guilt is overwhelming. My husband is an amazing man...and i made a huge 1 time mistake. Please help me.
