Brief Answer:
Yes, But should be followed up with a doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query!
Antimicrobial dressings are widely used for pyoderma and other related conditions like burns.
Polyvinyl blue contains polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) sponge complexed with two organic pigments. The pigments being Methylene Blue and Gentian Violet.
The pigments are bacteriostatic(Arrest the growth of bacterial pathogens) and effective against broad range of pathogens harbouring the wound. In addition to bacteriostatic action it also helps to remove excess fluid and exudates from the wound bed.
Keep in mind that it should be applied under the supervision of your doctor and it should be changed on alternate days. In cases of high infection, the dressing may require more frequent change, indicated by the dressing changing color from blue to white.
Wishing you good health.
Thanks
