    Is pilot balloon in the throat a concern after removing endotracheal tube?

Question: After my 60yr. Old son was in ICU for pneumonia they had the tube down his throat ,when they removed it 5 days ago but the pilot's has not closed, can this be fixed ?

Since endotracheal tube is removed, no need to worry for pilot.
Main function of pilot is to keep the tube in proper position in trachea.
No need to worry for pilot as tube is removed now.
