Question: Hello Doctor,
How are you, Hope your doing great.

In the previous discussion had with you, i wanted to ask you a question, but the discussion is closed. to debrief " I had protected Vaginal sex and unprotected oral sex with 3 girls 25 days back and was suffering with severe trauma and anxiety to get my doubts cleared.

And as advised I finally got tested for the following tests.
STD Panel test from Lalpath Lab which includes below:

1. TPHA; TREPONEMA PALLIDUM HEMAGGLUTINATION
2. CHLAMYDIA IgG ANTIBODY PANEL- CHLAMYDIA TRACHOMATIS/CHLAMYDIA PNEUMONI
3. HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS (HSV)1 +2, IGM, SERUM
4. HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS (HSV) 1+2, IGG, SERUM
5. HIV 1&2 ANTIBODIES, SCREENING TEST INCLUDES P24 ANTIGEN
6. VDRL (RPR),SERUM

Also in another diagnostic center, I got tested for :
7. HIV 1 &2 Antibodies- ELISA Method
8. HIV PCR-DNA Test
I ve taken the screen shot of all the test results and attached in two pdf documents, the reports were shared with you in the previous post.

Regarding HIV all the three reports is negative, can these reports be considered conclusive at 25 days of risk exposure?

Regarding STD Panel test they took only blood sample for all the above tests mentioned, they did not take any urine sample?

All the above STD test at 25 days of risk exposure are conclusive?

The reason for asking you the question is :

Just one clarification, I have been using antibiotics since last one week as I hadmild throat pain and irritation around the jaws, it is almost a week still i see mild irritation on throat and numbness and around the jaws.

I hope this is not any symptom of HIV or STD? The tests were done at 25 days of exposure.

I am getting tensed. Though I got tested for HIV PCR-DNA ,Elisa and Antigen after 25 days and all are neagative, I am worried if i have done the tests below the window period.

What about throat pain I am getting worried. Do you recommend to test again after 6 weeks of exposure.

Because initially after one week of exposure i had Ajithromycin for 3 days and alter after 25 days of exposure iam having antibiotics for ciproflaxin.

Also please clarify whether PCR-DNA test is better or PCR-RNA? I have done PCR-DNA test and whether it is conclusive after 25 days?

Appreciate your response. (Sorry I had to debrief the entire case again)

Brief Answer:
No testing

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Please do not be worried.
There is no need to get the tests again.
You should adopt other stress releasing techniques meantime.
The window periods are of no interest in this case.
The sorethroat could be something else other than HIV.
Believe the results and put a full stop to your thought process.

Ok sir, despite i am using antibiotics, i still have mild throat pain and somewhat anticipating to increase the throat pain.

I was reading the posts on conclusivity of HIV reports, all the three tests PCR-DNA, HIV P24 Antigen and Elisa test were done on 25th day. So i was thinking whether i need to retest again.

But i have been using antibiotics since one week, why this throat infection still persists. Doctor advised me to use until one week only.

Please advise doctor. Also please conform for my anxiety whether these reports are conclusive or do i need to test again.

Thanks and appreciate your reply.

Brief Answer:
In my opinion you do not need to retest for sometime

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

As far as I know with your state I do not advise to retest. Instead I would ask you to participate in counseling sessions from a professional counselor. It might bring in some ideas to tackle your thought process. I do not mean to hurt you but this is recommended for a lot of people with a phobia about HIV. This works as well. Some people even go for medicines to stop the thoughts.

For it is up to you to decide and go ahead.

Thanks doctor for the advice. Just checking with you whether these tests are conclusive at 25 days. This answer will give me a peace of mind. Also please suggest if I need to test again.

Also i did the STD panel test, do I need to repeat again as in the report HSV some values showed for possible infection in past. Also can you check for chlamydia as well in the report.

Also the STD panel does not have the testing for Gonorrhoea and Hepatitis B, C. Do I need to do the tests.

I request you to once check my reports once regarding STD, and advise. Also conclusivity of Hiv pcr dna, elisa, p24 antigen after 25 days.

This will be my last question, I will not disturb you any more.

Eagerly look forward for your reply.

Brief Answer:
Conclusive for your case

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

The tests that are ordered are customized and not according to the medical science that is written. It depends on the risk of exposure, actual incidents, mental condition of the patient, lab and the technology used.

I suggest no retesting and can be taken as conclusive for now as per the case basis. If you continue to take such risky situations then you need to retest. As long aas you remain clean and do not get into promiscous acts.

I checked your all reports again.
