Is Painless Vaccinations Better Or Normal Vaccinations?
Question: Hello Doctor,I am having 45 days old daughter.
Plz tell me which one would be better for her painless vaccination or normal.
is painless vac. been banned?
Is it neccessary to vaccinate her on exactly 45 day or we can postponed it upto 48th day?
is painless vac. Effective and safe for baby?

Painless vaccination is only available for DPT vaccine. Government of XXXXXXX and XXXXXXX Association of Paediatrician recommend the normal routine vaccine.
Painless vaccination is DTaP: Where it contains acellular component of Pertusis, whereas the routine vaccine DTP contains whole bacterial cell. The level of immunity achieved with whole cell is much higher than acellular vaccine.
The advantage of acellular vaccine or painless vaccine is less incidence of local reaction with added disadvantage of less efficacy and cost of vaccine. I would recommend the routine DTP vaccine.
1st Dose of DPT is to be given at 6 weeks or 42 days, it is not rigid rule and there can be a one week alteration on either side. So do not worry you can go ahead with your dates and can be flexible.
