Is Pain Induced Labour Advisable?

Question: Hi Doctor, I am a 38 week pregnant. Till 37 weeks everything was normail, but during the recent scan it appears AC count is below 5 percentile. Now my doctor is suggesting for inducing. could u please help with your advice. best regards XXXX

hi doctor. thank you for your response. I have got my NST done on the last day of 38th week.it came out normal. Also did you mean ultrasound when you say doppler scan? because I sent you my baby growth scan report in the attachment. Let me know if you are referring to that one. Really appreciate your help. XXXX

Brief Answer: Your doppler scan is normal Detailed Answer: Hello XXXX Welcome back. I have gone through attachments. Your Doppler scan, fetal biophysical profile, amount of liquor all are normal except AC diameter that indicates reduced fetal growth. Though you baby is mature it is not an acute emergency to go for induction of labour. Get daily NST done, daily fetal movement count should be more than 10. If fetal movements & NST remain ok you can wait till 39 weeks or spontaneous labour within 39 week. I will be available for your further queries. Regards
