No indigestion, no change in medication...never had it before..no heart problems..pain is severe...feels like I've had an elbow to my breast. Can feel it when I burped and when I move ...not necessarily while walking...constant...breathing is affected....

Took aspirin yesterday and it helped. I just took Aleve, and hoping...

Left sided Pectoral Myalgia/Costochondritis?Under Investigation

Detailed Answer:
Provisional Impression-Left sided Pectoral Myalgia/Costochondritis?Under Investigation

Hi,Thanks for the updates.
I reviewed these updates in context with your query.

Reasoning of your left Breast Pain-

There are man causes, which need to be ruled out.
Pain you have seems to be Myalgic/or due to intercostal myalgia/Fibromyalgia/or neurogenic(Early shingles-due to weak immunity in old age).
As breathing increases the pain and as you have elbow hit feel in the breast, the severity of the breast pain could be due to Left CostoChondritis.
Suggestions to treat-
Hence I would suggest you further plan-
Consult Er Physician as the pain is very severe as you submitted in the update reply.
IF need be Consult Surgeon to rule out any myalgic/fibromyalgic causes.
Consult Ortho-Surgeon if need be to rule out Costo-Chondritis.
Possibility of Pleuritic pain with old COPD,needs to be ruled out.
Chest Xray / CT Chest would rule out many causes as above and would fix the cause of your pain.
Possibility of Chest pain due to Heart ailment needs ECG and Stress Test,if need be.
In all these cases Aspirin relieves pain.
But don't self medicate,as for very old age.

Remedy suggested-under guidance of your family doctor-

Hot compresses/or Infra-Red heat therapy
Voltaren gel locally (OTC)
Inj.Steroid if CostoChondritis is confirmed as its cause.
Tab Neurobion (B1/B6/B12)
Dont self medicate and take care.

Hope this would help you to plan the treatment of your perplexing sever left breast pain.

If satisfied,I will appreciate your writing excellent review comments,to help needy patient visitors at HCM like you.

Welcome for any further query in this regard, before closing this query from my side.

Wishing you early recovery.
Good day!!
