Brief Answer:
Leukoplakia is a PRECANCEROUS LESION but not cancer..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your query Leukoplakia is a precancerous lesion and it is caused by a number of factors like:
1.Tobacco chewing and smoking.
2.Sharp teeth causing continuous trauma to the mucosa..
3.Poor fitting dentures.

As you have a single patch of 2 to 3 mm in diameter you need not to worry much and getting a biopsy done is not always to rule out cancer but it can also be a part of confirming the diagnosis made by the treating dentist.

As of now you can start taking one multivitamin tablet daily for 2 months and antioxidant containing Lycopene..

There is a possibility that the patch will gradually shrink in size..

Do not worry as all the Leukoplakia lesions do not turn out into cancer..

If you wear dentures or have any habit of smoking or chewing you can revert me back with the answer so that I can guide you better..

Any further queried are most welcome..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..

Brief Answer:
Smoking seems to be the cause..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome Again..

As per your response it seems that smoking is the culprit for causing Leukoplakia..
You will have to definitely cut down on smoking and finally completely stop it..
Initially it may seems to be a bit tough to stop smoking but "WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY".

As you have now reduced smoking from 25-30 cigarettes to 20 but still the number is too high..You will have to cut down further..
There are certain substitutes available to reduce smoking like Nicotine patches that you can stick over your skin and it will help in reducing the urge to smoke..
Certain nicotine containing chewing gums can also be chewed for the same effect..
Engage yourself more and more into work and activities of your choice so that your mind is diverted from smoking..

You can take multivitamin tablet like ZINCOVIT or SUPRADYN or others that are available with the chemist in your location..
Antioxidant containing LYCOPENE with commercial names like SM-FIBRO or LYTO can be taken or other brand names available in your location..
Both can be taken once a day for 2 months..

But the first and foremost thing is to stop smoking and even cut down on drinking..

If your query is resolved please write a positive review and give a FIVE STAR RATING as a token of appreciation..

Any further query is welcome, I'm always here to provide you a genuine medical advise..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..

Is it ok to have multi vitamin & antioxidant with the following medicines , which
I am having dailiy :
Thyronorm 100 for thyroid
Losar H for BP , which is very much in control
Lipirose F , Statin
Geriflo D for BPH
Liv 52 DS
Ecosprin 75

One last querry , I had white coating on my tongue for which I am doing gargles
of 10 - 12 drops of Candid Gum Paint diluted with half cup of water twice daily for the last one week. There has definitely been lots of improvement. How long can I continue with this. Is candid gum paint also ok for oral sores & if so how is it to be applied?

Thanks once again for your helpful advice.

Brief Answer:
Lycopene interacts with blood thinners, blood pressure medicines.

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome again..

You can continue taking multivitamin tablet but antioxidants like Lycopene has been seen to negatively interact with blood thinners like Aspirin [ ecosprin] and also seen to lower blood pressure..
It is also seen to interact with statins..

So I would suggest you not to start antioxidants and better to consult your treating physician who knows your complete medical history and can advise you to take antioxidants in calculated dose with caution and continuous monitoring..

My advise for you will be that in place of taking the risk of taking antioxidant if you quit smoking and take a nutritious diet gradually the leukoplakia patch will resolve..

The white coating on tongue is Oral Thrush which is a fungal infection and you can continue gargling for one more week and hopefully it will resolve..
Mouth sores will also improve by taking multivitamin and along with it you can do warm saline gargles and no need to apply candid gum paint in any special way and simply continue the gargles..

If there is pain in the sores you can apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine..

Rest nothing else is needed..

Wishing you a good health..

If your query is solved, kindly write a positive review and give a Five star rating as a token of appreciation..

Thanks and regards..
