Question: Hi... My 18 month old daughter is suffering from gas problem. Can we give lanzol in night?

Lanzol contains lansoprazole an acid reducing agent.Increased gas production,nausea, abdominal discomfort all may be associated with gastritis or indigestion.

Lansoprazole helps in relieving all these symptoms.
The dose of lansoprazole is 0.5-1 mg/kg/dose.At 18 months of age the average weight of a baby is around 10-12 kg.The side effect is very minimal.
You can give her lanzol,but it should be prescribed by a physician as it is a prescription medicine.

Sleeping in upright position and fluid intake also helps.
