Is Lack Of Sleep After Taking Hydromet Syrup Suggestive Of ADHD?

default
Posted on Tue, 14 Jul 2015
Question: I was diagnosed with pneumonia today and given hydromet syrup. I'm wide awake with no cough. I've never been to a doctor for ADHD but I suspect I am and always have been. Could this be the reason this medicine is not allowing me to sleep like the ER doctor said it would?

Brief Answer:
hydromet is not a strong sedative.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.

Hydromet is not a strong sedative.
This may or may not cause you to sleep.

ADHD should not be the reason that hydromet is not allowing you to sleep.
There is attention deficit and hyperactivity in ADHD but not necessarily disturbed sleep.

ADHD is a clinical diagnosis. So you should talk about your symptoms with your doctor.

If you have persisting sleep disturbances, drugs like clonazepam (prescription drug) can help.

Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.
Thanks.
