Brief Answer: Kirkland sleep aid has no effect on macular hole. Detailed Answer: Hello Welcome to Health care magic Iam Dr. Dadapeer K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye. It seems from the history that you are using kirkland sleep aid for treatment of insomnia and on eye testing you are diagnosed with a macular hole and you want to know any relation between the kirkland sleep aid and macular hole. Macular hole is usually because of age related degeneration and it is characterized by full thickness defect of the inner retinal layers resulting in visual impairment. Diabetic retinopathy, macular edema degenerations of retina in high refractive errors are the other causes for macular hole. Kirkland sleep aid is an anticholinergic drug and is used to treat insomina or lack of sleep and it has got no effect on macular hole. It can cause dryness of eyes, which can cause visual impairment but it has no effect on the retina or macular hole. Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you. Thank you
