Question: Do you have an opinion on the use of CBD Hemp Oil to treat anxiety? My 23 year son suffers from generalized anxiety disorder and 4 psychiatrists and 2 therapists later, traditional medicine they have prescribed comes with more bad side effects than help.

Brief Answer:
Why not try this instead of CBD? It's safer. And more effective.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

You've reached the right place. Finally, help is at hand. I agree with you that hemp oil that contains CBD is a natural tranquilizer and can create a state of mind free of all tensions and anxiety. Naturally this comes at a price. CBD can cause addiction and can lead to your son's generalized anxiety disorder becoming worse and finally out of control, beyond the reach of any human help. Now, I agree that hemp (CBD) is also used in the form of medical marijuana, yet this is not used for people who have anxiety, depression and the like. Medical marijuana is used only for those people who have nothing to lose by taking it. For instance, dying cancer patients, to alleviate their extreme fear and anxiety of dying.

Note: CBD is not medical marijuana or any such thing.

Look, we can solve this problem very easily. OK?

I will write a list of 5 medicines below.

1. Prozac (Fluoxetine).
2. Zoloft (Sertraline).
3. Luvox (Fluvoxamine).
4. Celexa (Citalopram).
5. Lexapro (Escitalopram).
6. Paxil (Paroxetine).

Has your son taken or tried for at least a minimum of 3 weeks any of these medicines? If not then I would suggest Paxil as the best medicine available for your son.

1. Physical exercises such as weight lifting and aerobics, remove the chemical adrenaline that causes anxiety.
2. Yoga and deep breathing is very good for anxiety.
3. Go to www.helpguide.com This is the best website written by Dr. XXXXXXX Segal, the great XXXXXXX neuroscientist who designed emotional intelligence exercises to relieve all sorts of such issues that affect the mind.
