Is It Safe To Take Primolut N During Pregnancy?
Question: Hi, I am a mother of 7 years old son and never missed my monthly period so far.
My last period was 20 Aug'14, and i haven't get my period up to now, it's almost 25 days now, so I tried to check using pregnancy test and it's coming back on negative result.
We decide to go to the doctor on 04 Oct and he can't see anything yet on USG and advise me to come back the next week,
The next visit was on 11 Oct, and after USG he congratulate me and said that I am pregnant, so me and my husband is really happy even though I didn't felt any pregnancy symptoms yet, and he advise us to come back on 2 weeks. However, we tried another urine test at home and it was still negative.
Me and my husband have decided to go to another Doctor to confirm my pregnancy status.
This doctor ask me everything about my first pregnancy and everything related to pregnancy before checking thru USG.
After USG, he said that I am not pregnant, and he gave me primolut N and advise me to consume it 2 tablets/day. He asked me to eat 2 tablets right away after consultation.
Is it any possibility that I am pregnant ?
I am really confused now so I didn't continue to consume the Primolut N. So I only consume it 2 tablets only.
How if I was pregnant, and I already consumed 2 tablets of Primolut, will it be okay for the baby ?

I suggest you to undergo one blood test for beta-hCG to confirm pregnancy. It will be more worthwhile.
Sometimes, abdominal ultrasound scan detects gestational sac lately around 6-7 weeks. However, Trans Vaginal Ultrasound scan is more confirmatory in early pregnancy and it can detect gestational sac around 4 weeks of pregnancy.
Primolut-N contains Norethisterone as composition. It should be STOPPED until pregnancy is confirmed. However, consumption of 2 tabs will NOT affect fetus.
