Is It Safe To Stop Heparin At 37 Week Of Pregnancy?

Question: Hi, My wife is on Heparin (UFH) 5000iu/day and esosprin since day one, She 37 weeks now, her Gynec asked to stop Heparin and continue ecosprin as usual. She is negative for APS and factor V mutation.
She had 2 miscarriges previously both 7 weeks. Is this appropriate thing to do?

Hello, she has been put on right treatment but I think you misinterpreted the instructions because she should stop ecosprin and continue UFH till the day of delivery.

She has also asked us to stop Susten 300mg (oral once daily) at 37 weeks.
Is this safe for the mother and the baby?

Yes she can stop susten with no bad effect on baby or the mother.
Susten is needed to carry the baby till maturity and since by 37 weeks maturity is complete so susten is no longer needed.
