I wanted to know if you can take ssri's twice a day for social anxiety?. Pls Help.

I am taking Sertima 100 mg right now. I want to increase to 150 mg. 100 mg in the morning and 500mg in the evening.
Is this okay to do?

Hello,

Thanks for information.

Maximum dose of sertraline is 200 mg. You can take 100 + 50 mg if you do not have 100% improvement in your anxiety disorder. But I think you should take 50 mg in the morning and 100 mg at night(I clinically prefer that schedule for better compliance otherwise 100 in morning and 50 at night is ok if you are comfortable).
And inform your treating doctor about this also.
