Brief Answer:
Give Panadol instead

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I am sorry about your mother's health concern.

She is running a high fever at 102. At this time, she needs anti-pyretics like Panadol that can bring down the temperature quite rapidly. This is available over the counter. You can get it and give it to your mother every 6 hours. You can also give her tepid sponding with cold water and a sponge if the temperature is high.

Althrocin is Erythromycin which is an antibiotic. This is given only if there is proven bacterial infection.

I suggest you take your mother to her primary care physician once her fever subsides, and get her examined to know the cause of fever.

Wishing your mother a quick recovery.
