Is It Safe To Go Skydiving After Having A Stent Put?

Question: i had a stent put in 7 years ago and intend to go skydiving this weekend. i work out 5 days a week including runs as long as 10 miles and ski and climb . i am physically fit. Should i be concerned. what are the risks based on my stent? Thanks

Hi,

Looking at your physical activity level it appears like your exercise tolerance is quite good and it should not be too risk to do skydiving. generally when functional status is good there won't be any additional risk. but as recommended for any adventure sport it's better to have ecg, echo and TMt and physical examination before the event.
