Is It Normal To Have Vaginal Bleeding For Long Periods Post Child Delivery?

Question: I had given birth to a girl baby child through ceasarean last month on 23rd December. According to the Dr. bleeding should get stop in 15-20days, but still its not completely stopped. Do I need to consult the Dr or is it common and will stop by itself?

Hello dear, I understand your problem.
It is not normal to bleed for this much period of time after delivery.
Take tablet methergin thrice a day and tablet tranexemic acid thrice a day for three days and then see for the bleeding to stop.
In case it fails to stop even after that then get an ultrasound done and then we can discuss the reports.

Bleeding was heavy till 10-12 days after delivery, but now its very less. Its just like a spot in a day. I mean its not completely stopped. So is this a point of concern or is it normal?

If it is just mild spotting only then nothing to worry but still take the tablets as advised so that it is completely relieved and also it will help in involution of uterus to normal size otherwise there is a risk of infection.
