Is It Normal To Experience Excessive Vaginal Lubrication During Intercourse?

Question: I've been experiencing unusual amount of vaginal wetness with just the slight thought of sex. while just kissing it becomes excessive and during sex to the point of loosing feeling for both myself and partner. It is clear, no odor, no color. Just seems to be excess lubrication. Could this be a hormone problem. Also, is there and type of birth control pills or something that could help decrease this? Any treatment besides stopping to towel off? 5'4" 115lbs, 41 years old.

Good day
Noted your concern. Vaginal lubrication is normal and natural during sexual stimulation and sexual thoughts. It is produced by the glands in vagina in response to female sex hormones. "Excessive" lubrication can be very subjective. You have clear and odourless lubrication which is not abnormal.

However, you may meet a gynecologist for examination to rule out enlarged vaginal glands and also for a pap smear.

Anticholinergic medicines may be helpful for reducing vaginal secretions but it has unpleasant side effects like dry mouth and sedation.
