Is It Harmful To Use Removable Arm Shower Head By A Heart Or Kidney Patient?

default
Posted on Wed, 15 Jul 2015
Question: My father is 82 years old, lifetime high bp (genetic) and in the last 5 years started having kidney trouble. When he gets sick, like pneumonia or flu, the infection seems to go to the kidneys. He has been in kidney failure, once if not twice. He is being seen by a specialist every 6 months, and has to limit protein, and does a good job of eating pretty well and exercising. He also has been diagnosed (ekg finding) with a left bundle bunch block, for 35 years. No treatment necessary yet.
This may be a silly question, but I wanted to get him a shower head with a removable arm so he can sit and shower. These types of heads come with multi function spray settings. I have heard that people with heart trouble or kidney trouble should NOT use massage or pulsating settings in the shower. Is there any truth to that? I don't want to get buy him something that would harm him.

Brief Answer:
no restriction applies

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

regardless of your father's condition, there is no problem with the removable arm shower head. The spray type won't make any difference to somebody with heart or kidney problems.

You can contact me again, if you'd like any clarification or further information.

Kind Regards!
