Question: My nephew ( 5 years old ) got a pimple on his nose 3 days ago...Is it common in children or need a treatment? kindly suggest a treatment if needed. .

I have seen the attached image. The pimple/boil is due to a bacterial infection which needs to be treated, especially since it is in the 'dangerous area of the face'. It is known such because infections from this area can spread directly to the brain. So, caution is required. The first step would be to apply some antibiotic ointment like T-Bact (mupirocin). That should suffice. If it does not, oral antibiotics might be required and it would be advisable to see a doctor.
