HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Hypertrophy of the heart refers to enlargement of the heart due to thickening of the muscle of the heart.

It is termed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

One medical study published in 2001 in Circulation (a medical magazine), found it 22% of the men with hypertrophy that they studied though it is found in a smaller percentage of persons at initial diagnosis.

These conditions can occur together.

It is normally associated diastolic dysfunction that occurs as a result of the hypertrophy.
Diastolic dysfunction means problems with relaxation of the heart.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
