Is Hospitalization Required For Patients With MRSA Infection?

Question: Sorry that i disturb you – you will remember my questions about MRSA

I was preparing material about MRSA to my school and I got some questions – to better understanding
1.     In this article – they are talking about patients who had staph infection and 51 -69 % had MRSA –not 51 – 69 % where colonized. Am I right ?
Among staph cultures from outpatient settings, 51% were resistant to Methicillin nationally, and the number was higher — 58% — in the South Atlantic region that includes D.C. It was higher still — 69% — in the East Southern region of the country that includes Kentucky and nearby states.
XXXX

2.     And in other article its is said that - During the past decade, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of patients presenting with skin and soft tissue infections in the outpatient setting –
It is estimated that nearly 80% of infections caused by CA-MRSA manifest as skin and soft tissue infections which are of mild to modest severity.
XXXX

As we booth have discussed – only hard treating MRSA infections are diagnosed that they have MRSA for that – and these more serious patients need hospitalization. But simply skin infection in outpatient settings are cleaned disinfected and go home – and doctor don’t diagnose them even they have MRSA, but patients with serious since of infection are diagnosed for MRSA and after that treated in hospital am I right ?

Sorry –

1.     So– people at first go to outpatient settings – there doctor see how situation is dangerous – if need then diagnose, and if need then people get hospitalization for treatment
Is so??

2.     Before eating people should wash hands
But what happen if they swallow some bacteria of MRSA – it can live in your throat ?
Or can it get to your intestine ? or no because HCl will destroy it – and if it get to intestine – then from other side not from mouth !
How it is ?

If I swallow some MRSA bacteria they can live in my throat – or in body without any problems !
Because we don’t hear case when MRSA colonized persons get some stomach infection ..

Is it so ?

Brief Answer:
Mainly do with hands to skin transmission and colonisation

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir.

1. Yes

2. Swallowing usually does not result in anything serious, it is the contact that takes place between the unclean hand and the skin

Best wishes sir.
