Brief Answer:
hi there

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir i can understand your concern.
Honey is a very good dietary substance for everyone.
it contains a mixture of fructose and glucose along with many minerals.
the total content of honey is 80% of natural sugar
honey can be taken by diabetic patients who are in good control.
honey if taken in excess quantity will be harmful since this fructose will convert in to glucose in our body thus increasing glucose levels in blood.
its advisable to limit intake of honey to not more than 2 tsp per day.

Tigernuts-;this a very good source of dietary fiber it contains a substance called pectin which will help in reducing cholesterol in body.tigernut is also a good source of protein.tiger nut milk also is a good diet supplement for diabetes.

Bambara nuts;-this is a leguminous plant.it consist of 65% of carbohydrate due to its rich content of carbohydarte it need to be consumed in moderate quantity.Apart from carbohydrate it also a good source of protein and minerals most of its health benefits have been reported to be therapeutic, suppressing the growth and activity in conditions like infectious diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease. The nutritional profile of this nut is high enough to sustain the growth of probiotics.

hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
metformin is a very good

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir
your reports are showing only borderline elevation of blood sugar it is called as pre diabetes
to diagnose as diabetes the Hba1c% should be above 6.5% and fasting blood sugar must be >126mg/dl

The medicine metformin is a very good medication and first line medication in diabetes.
this medication is having many advantages like
1.reduction of weight
2,reduction of cholesterol
3.reduction of fat in liver,
4.decreased hunger.
the symptoms you mentioned might be due to pre-diabetes rather than due to metformin.
so i suggest you to consider re starting metformin again.
the know side effect of metformin is diarrhoea and gastritis.

Brief Answer:
some random tips in diet for diabetes

Detailed Answer:
when it comes to diet, its very important to maintain balanced and timely diet schedule.Diet in diabetes should contain 60-65% of carbs. 20% of proteins and 20-15%of fats.

Brown rice can be taken in diabetes but should be limited to a cup. Most of bread made out of whole wheat can be taken in diabetes.

This brown rice and whole wheat contain the same amount of glucose as normal white rice but the release of glucose will be slow due to presence of fiber in them.

This kind of slow realize will prevent the rapid raise of glucose in your body.
Nuts are very good in diabetes and can be take daily in a quantity of small cup or you can take them not more than 50-75 grams.

This nuts should be a mix of walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts and cashew nuts.
its better to prefer low fat milk than full cream milk.

I would like to give some diet tips to be followed in diabetes in monitoring there diet

1.Avoid all kinds of refined carbohydrates like sugar

2.Take all kind of fresh veggies kindly restrict use of potato and sweet potato.

3.Daily taking green tea is good for pre diabetes as it contains lots of antioxidants

4.Alcohol can be taken in a moderate quantity, Try avoiding wine and beer(better to avoid alcohol fully during gout attacks).Alcohol can be taken 2-3 ounces .

5.Avoid all kinds of carbonated drinks they are not good for your bone health.

6.low fat milk can be consumed about 200ml per day.

7.low fat cheese and low fat yogurt can be taken.

8.Daily you can take a small cup of almonds, walnuts, pista and peanuts which are good for your good cholesterol.

9.Daily take only one fruit, avoid banana and XXXXXXX ...if you like take only minimal quantity.

10.you can take protein, Choosing plant-based protein, such as beans and legumes more.

11.Alternate days you can take 2 egg white...pls discard yolk(yellow) since it contains bad cholesterol.

12.Use olive and sunflower oil for cooking.

13.Prefer grill than oil fry.

14.occasionally you can take ice creams and dark chocolate.

15.take good amount of green leafy veggies to avoid constipation.

16.Animal proteins are high in purine. Avoid or severely limit high-purine foods, such as organ meats, herring, anchovies and mackerel. Red meat (beef, pork and lamb), fatty fish and seafood (tuna, shrimp, lobster and scallops) are associated with increased risk of gout. Because all meat, poultry and fish contain purines, limit your intake to 4 to 6 ounces (113 to 170 grams) daily.

17.It is best to avoid beverages sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup, such as soft drinks or juice drinks.

Brief Answer:
fenugreek is very good for diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Dear sa'ad
i am very happy to see you again.
in my opinion the fenugreek supplement is very good for diabetes.
since from very olden days , fenugreek had proven it self in treatment of diabetes.
lots of clinical trials was done on it and in my opinion its the best natural available supplement for diabetes.

reading the health drinks we always should be careful as they contain dextrose and fructose in it this Dextrose nothing but a form of glucose.

The aloe Vera health drink contains fructose 30 gms and dextrose 10 gms which is slightly high for diabetes individuals so kindly avoids it.

Excessive consumption of this kind of drinks will shoot up your blood sugars and its not advisable.

The aloe Vera is a very good source of natural fiber. Aloe can be consumed directly in its natural form and its widely available in many parts of worlds.
many of health drinks also contains preservatives which might be harmful to body.
so where ever possible i suggest you to take natural forms of vegges and fruits incited of depending on packed ones with preservatives.
