Posted on Sat, 11 Mar 2017
Question: My heart rate lately has been accelerating to 90-110 bpm when I'm not active. I do exercise regularly and don't have problems when I exercise. What could be causing this condition and should I make an appointment with my doctor?

Brief Answer:
Need to do further tests

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome.
This is Dr Sameer, cardiologist.
Heart rate of 90-110 is generally normal sinus tachycardia caused by exertion, stress, nicotine use or too much coffee. It is due to adrenaline response of body.
Still i will advice you a ECG, to see what this heart rhythm exactly is.
Their are some other abnormal tachycardia, but their rate is more than 120/min.
I hope it should be a normal sinus tachycardia. If it is causing palpitations than I'll recommend you for a medicine to decrease the adrenaline response called Tab Betaloc.
If you have any more questions, I'll be happy to help.
Thanks
Take care
