Question: is a blood pressure of 107/72, pulse of 74 healthy for a 74 year old female.
Actually I wasn't being truthful... I have been talking 50 milligrams of lorsatan, but want to get off it. A lot of time my head feels like it shrinking a lot time

Brief Answer:
Target blood pressure less than 140/90

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to see that you are having side effects from you blood pressure medication. Your current blood pressure is good but maybe just a little too low and this maybe causing your side effects. I would suggest reducing your losartan to 25mg daily and see if that keeps your blood pressure in range and lessens your side effects

The goal pressure is to keep it below 140 systolic and 90 diastolic. As long as your pressure is below that range then you are well controlled

In summary
1. Goal pressure less then 140/90
2. Your pressure is very good
3. Suggest reducing your losartan to 25mg daily and continue monitoring blood pressure
4. If side effects continue then see your medical provider for a different medication

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
