How Long Is Green Stool Normal For A Six-month-old Infant?
Question: Hello Madam
I have a daughter of 6months . she is having green potty since last 40days and we have gone through stool test but stool test is normal. she is feeding mothers milk and also cerelac. Can u pls suggest . We have visited dr she has given antibiotic and antogermania few days back. But green potty is continue. Pls suggest how long we have to wait for green potty. is it normal or if intestine is not matured then is there any medication required.

Hi...no medicine is required and this is a normal phenomenon please. Plese do not worry about it at all.
Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
Vomiting should not be green in color...motion can be slightly loose and green in color at this age.
There is no need to use antibiotics unless there is blood in the motion. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhoea.
