Question: How bad is to take Fenugreek during pregnancy?
Tonight my cook put a lot of Fenugreek in vegetable and my wife (11 weeks pregnant) eat that curry with 20-25 Fenugreek. Though she separated the cooked Fenugreek before eating the curry, but then too its extract would be there which she eat.
After that when we Goggled we found how bad it can be during pregnancy.
Do you it will cause any harm to my wife at this stage?
What should we do for prevention?

Brief Answer:
Need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your wife health care.
Congratulations on her pregnancy!
I can understand your concerns.
Yes, it is true that large quantity of fenugreek during pregnancy should be avoided because it may lower the blood sugar levels, increase uterine contraction, miscarriage, neurological development problem in fetus.
In your case she had only extract of fenugreek, so it may harm her but before giving my opinion I want to ask a few questions from you.
Is she having dizziness, light headache, nausea, gastritis and uterine contraction.
Please revert back to me with my answer.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Good luck.
