Hi,

You have not mentioned anything about your exercise routine so I’ll take that as nil. It’s very important for a diabetic patient to do daily workout or at least daily morning walks for 40 mins a day.

Secondly rice and potatoes should be avoided as much as possible as their glycemic index are very high.

As your fasting sugar levels are high I would like to suggest you to start going for daily brisk morning walks along with strict diet control for at least a month then after that repeat your sugar levels. If that time also it comes high then it’s advisable to start a second drug.
