If breast milk is given by expressing milk then total amount required in a day is 100 multiplied by weight of child. Suppose that if weight of child is around 4 kg then total amount of 400 ml should be given in 24 hours. This is a rough method, if child is feeling hungry then additional milk can be given. if child has vomiting then amount of milk needs to be decreased.
