Is Ejection Fraction Of 80% A Cause For Concern?

default
Posted on Fri, 30 Dec 2016
Question: I recently had a nuclear stress test. All my other test have come back perfectly normal. The first part of my nuclear stress test said that I had no history of my cardio infarction. The down below in the inclusions it read that there was no inducible ischemia. Then it read some infarction. After that everything else looked great as far as my ejection fraction being 80% and no other comments were on there. I haven't had a chance to speak to my doctor as they have not gotten back to me. The part that said some infarction has scared me. Especially since right above that it said no signs of previous infarctions. What could this be?

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I carefully passed through your question and would like to directly review your uploaded nuclear stress report for another second professional opinion.

In general, by your description, I would conclude that these nuclear stress test does not describe any cardiac disorders.

But, several mistakes may be done during writing.

So, I need to directly review that test report, in order to come into more precise conclusions.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri

Brief Answer:
My opinion as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

I passed carefully through uploaded nuclear stress test report and would like to explain that it appears to be completely normal.

So, nothing to worry about! Congratulations!

The only phrase that doesn't make sense facing the other part of the report is:
"Some infarction".

I believe that it has been left mistakenly from another report (of another patient) and has not been deleted when the doctor assistant has overwrite your report using this previously done tests.

You just need to point it out (the erroneous phrase) to your doctor.

So relax!

Your nuclear test is perfectly normal.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

In case of any further uncertainties feel free to ask me again,

Wishing you a pleasant weekend!

Regards,

Dr. Iliri
