Is Ejection Fraction Of 60% A Cause For Concern?

Question: I am afraid because everywhere online it states that an ejection fraction of 60% with mitral regurgitation needs surgery because your left ventricle is failing. I have mild mitral regurgitation and my doctors never mentioned any problems with my ejection fraction, just that it says normal on my report. Should I worry? My cardiologist says I'm great, my heart looks nice, I did 96% on my treadmill test with no issues and I shouldn't worry. My concern is if the 60% ejection fraction has more to do with moderate or severe cases. Just can't find anything online that says 60% is good for mild. It only states surgery.
