Brief Answer: carry on with same medication Detailed Answer: Hi In your case, these intrusive thoughts are part of depression. Nothing to worry about it. These intrusive thoughts would decrease with antidepressant as you would improve with drugs. If you are getting good response with cymbalta, then carry on with same dose for next 6-7 months. Brief Answer: Try thought stoppage technique Detailed Answer: Hi With medicine thoughts would decrease. You can also either try another medicine like fluoxetine or fluvoxamine to control these intrusive thoughts or you can do thought stoppage technique. In this technique, when ever you have such intrusive thoughts just do reverse counting of number (9 to 1) or months (December to January) or days (Sunday to Monday). You can also do relaxation exercise to control the anxiety while having these thoughts. Consult a psychologist for proper guidance about technique and relaxation exercise. In case, you need further help, you can ask. Regards Dr. Abhishek Kapoor Psychiatrist

Brief Answer: Try clomipramine. Detailed Answer: HI Complete recovery takes time. Improvement would not happen in days. You have to be patient. With medicine and thoughts stoppage technique, gradually these thoughts would decrease. Carry on yoga and relaxation exercise. In medicine, i would suggest clomipramine. It is very effective in controlling intrusive thoughts. Just discuss about this drug with your doctor. You can also try rubber band technique. In this technique, just tie a rubber band on hand and stretch it when you have thoughts. It would help to stop thoughts immediately. Look, everything problem has one solution, but you have to be optimistic. I think, you are too much worry about your problem. Try clomipramine. It is very effective anti obsessional drug.
