One question in my mind is - what is the indication of taking Methergin now? I would like to know the dose and duration for which you are taking it.

Also, are you exclusively breastfeeding the baby or baby also has been on top feeds and weaning foods?

Thanks a lot for your response, doctor.

I had a MTP last week and this medicine was prescribed after the follow-up scan. Apparently there is a small tissue that is still there in the uterus.
I have been asked to take 'Methergin' for 5 days, 3 times a day.

My baby is 9 months and has other top-up foods like Cerelac, Lactogen and mashed rice-dal. I only feed her at night.

I hope it is still okay to feed my baby.

With the prescribed dose of Methergin it is alright to take while you are breastfeeding.It is safe and will not be harmful to baby.

As such your baby is already on weaning foods and is breastfeeding at night only, so you need not worry at all.
