Brief Answer:
Rarely but possible!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about ant concerns you have with regard to this test. The doctor is probably probing for details as an overall normal may hide an abnormal increase in a sub-fraction. I think it is necessary to get this and more so if the doctor have a strong feeling that an isoenzyme could add more value to the existing results. Just as reminder, the main sources of phosphatase are from the liver and the bone. This will be helpful. Be calm and let's wait for the results. Am right here to help you follow through with the results when they come in. Communicate to me and get a second and independent opinion.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask of more information and clarifications if need be.

Hi and thanks for this follow up.

The first test is a positive note that this will be more likely okay than not. Just exercise patience and all will be fine. When the results come back, share with me so that we can go on and interpret together and provide more insights.
