Question: My husband just finished his last chemo treatment (3 days ago) for pleural mesothelioma. Is it ok to give him aloe vera juice, and if so, how much? Also, sometime in XXXXXXX is his surgery for removal of his affected lung.

Brief Answer:
Aloe vera juice not apporved and recommended by FDA

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. I am really sorry for your troubles. As far as aloe vera juice is concerned . although its a strong laxative and helps constipation but due to its side effect profile ,FA does not recommend its use in any laxative over the counter and thus should be avoided if possible. I would recommend to avoid it and consider other options of laxative some of which are already in his use.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and your husband and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
