Is Alcohol Advisable While On Clindamycin?
Question: Hi I have been given Clidamycin prescription 300 mg 3 times a day.
Is this every 8 hours night and day?
Can i drink alcohol in moderate amounts while on this prescription.
I hav a scrape on my left leg that is 10 days old and wasn't getting better with polysporin and soap and water

I read your question and i understand your concern. Clindamycin is the three time dosage varying from 150 mg to 450 mg every 8 hours. So you ar eon the right prescription dose. As far as alcohol intake is concerned, its intake is not wise any how irrespective of the situation, There is no such interaction of pharmacokinetics of clindamycin with alcohol , so consuming it in recommended amount wont harm, however drinking on its own is a bad habit and can have a lot of repercussions.
