Brief Answer:
Visible pulse on both sides of the neck is likely normal condition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Visible pulse on the neck most likely from carotid arteries and called a carotid pulse. Every time your heart pumps out the blood aortal pressure increases and the blood flows to the peripheral vessels (arteries) distending their walls. A strong pulse may be from either higher volume of blood is ejected into blood vessels or because of elastic blood vessels.

The strong pulse may indicate underlying heart problems, hypertension, overactive thyroid, fever or anxiety. Exercise may also cause strong visible pulse.

As the pulse visible on both sides which is not strong is highly likely normal if you do not have any other symptoms. In slim people, arteries may be located near the skin and the pulse is visible. When you put your fingers on that area you should feel pulsation.

If you have tightness in your neck or chest, abnormal blood pressure readings, dizziness, lightheadedness, difficulty breathing, abnormal sweating or fainting you should visit your doctor and get a medical checkup.

Hope, this information is helpful for you. Please, feel free to ask me if there is anything else you need to know.

Thank you.
