Is A Trace Of Blood In Urinalysis A Cause For Concern?

Question: I just went for my physical and the Doctor said that my Urinealysis showed a trace of blood and wants me to repeat the test in 1 month. Should I be concerned?

I am so sorry to hear about this finding and all the inconveniences it has caused you. A trace of blood by itself with no other symptoms is no major cause of concern. If you had symptoms or the blood in huge quantities, I would have said there are reasons to be concerned. Without that, there is no major red flag. Stay positive, optimistic and drink much water. We shall get it repeated in 1months and the results will shed more lights on the way forward if need be.

Ok Thank you. Also I just had a BM and noticed my stool was very dark not black, but a dark brown. Is this normal?
