Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cyst

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Thank you for trusting us at HCM with your question.

As long as the mole went down in size it means that it is getting better.

This is probably an inflamed sebaceous cyst; sometimes the normal drainage of sebaceous glands gets occluded resulting in buildup of secretions. Therefore, an inflammatory reaction which leads to the liquid formation and the swollen feeling you had. Sometimes, it can be associated with redness, tenderness and warmth around the mole.

However, to make sure it is properly cleaned you will need to refer to the ER to drain any remaining puss or liquid and there they will give you local and oral antibiotics to prevent infection and further inflammation.

Please feel free to ask me any further question.

Kind regards,
Dr. Nazzal
