Is A Splint Advisable After A Broken Knuckle?

default
Posted on Tue, 6 Dec 2016
Question: I'm pretty sure my daughter broke her 2nd knuckle. It's taped and I'm getting a splint for it. Do I really need to take her to see the ortho dr? I know they don't do much besides a splint for a finger.

Brief Answer:
Need to get Xray to look for abdominal

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

It is better to get her looked at by an Orthopaedician because certain fractures may require specialised plastering techniques or may require surgery.

Please do get an Xray of the hand and upload for my reference.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
