Brief Answer:
Possible STD

Detailed Answer:
Thanks fro contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You are concerned that after having unprotected sex that you may have contracted an STD. From your description I can not tell if you had unprotected oral sex or anal sex. Please clarify.

Also the rash that you are experiencing is it red raised or does it have blisters? Does it itch or burn?

From oral sex you can contract several types of infections. the most common infections being herpes or gonorrhea. With gonorrhea there would be no rash. there would only be a penile discharge that is pus appearing. If you contracted herpes the rash would be a cluster of blisters that hurt. Your doctor can give you antibiotics fro the gonorrhea and an anti-viral medication for the herpes.

It is also possible that you may have just jock itch or a fungal infection which is common after exercise including after having sex. This is a simple red rash that has plenty of itching and is located just between the testicles and the leg. You can treat this with over the counter Lamisil or Tinactin powders.

If you had unprotected anal sex then you could contract any of the above along with syphilis. If this is syphilis then you would have a large open sore that is not painful. I doubt at this point that you have syphilis since you are having pain.

I am glad to hear that you will be seeing your doctor later this week. He will be able to visually inspect the rash and give you precise diagnosis

In summary
1. If oral sex then could contract
2. Gonorrhea which is a penile discharge
3. Herpes which is a blisters with pain
4. If anal sex then any of the two along with syphilis which is a painless open sore
5. Possible jock itch or fungal infection and can treat with OTC anti-fungal powder.
6. Follow up with doctor this week

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me with new information and you can even submit a picture of the rash for me look at.

Brief Answer:
Probable non STD infection

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for returning to HCM with your information.

I am glad to hear that you did not engage in anal sex. The rash that you describe is more than likely then a fungal type infection and not an STD. I do recommend that you start the anti-fungal powders Tinactin or Lamisil as this may resolve your issues. I also still recommend that you see your doctor so they can properly diagnose your problem

I hope this answers your question. Please contact HCM or me again for your health care concerns or questions
