Question: Hi, i got thjs rash on my penis forehead this morning. Bit itchy but no discharge - should i be worried ? I only had sex with my wife and no other sex partners.

Thanks for the query and photograph.
It is looking like herpes infection.
Your wife might be a carrier of the virus.
In females the infection is usually asymptomatic.
I treat such cases with oral acyclovir 400 mg five times a day for 5 days and topical acyclovir cream to be applied twice daily for the same period.
The above medication might require a prescription from a doctor.
It is very important that you and your wife both are treated.

Thanks for the reply - my wife is pregnang right now. Is ghere a way we can test her for herpes before we take medication ? Will go see a doc here in Indonesia too but would like to get a second opinion.
